Advocating for integrated care and honoring your needs

About This Workshop
Have you ever felt like your doctors are missing the bigger picture? Like they're treating your ADHD over here, your joint pain over there, and your anxiety somewhere else entirely—but no one's connecting the dots?
You're not imagining things. For many neurodivergent people, our conditions don't exist in isolation. They're interconnected in ways that some healthcare providers aren't trained to recognize.
Join Rowan Crawfish, LPC, NCC, ATR, ASDCS and Destiny Davis, LPC, CRC for a conversation about understanding the complex web of connections between autism, ADHD, and chronic health conditions—and how to advocate for care that sees all of you.
Location: Zoom Webinar
What We'll Cover:
Understanding comorbidities: What they are and why they're so common in neurodivergent people, including the chronic illness "trifecta" of POTS, hEDS, and MCAS
Recognizing the patterns: How conditions like sleep disorders, autoimmune issues, chronic pain, and reproductive health problems often overlap with autism and ADHD
Navigating medical gaslighting: Why dismissal happens (especially for women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ individuals) and practical strategies for advocating for yourself in healthcare settings
Self-advocacy tools that work: Scripts, documentation strategies, and communication techniques to help you get taken seriously by providers
Resources: Concrete next steps for getting closer to diagnosis and care, plus communities and organizations that can support your journey
Sustainable self-care: Moving beyond generic wellness advice to strategies that actually work with your nervous system and capacity levels
This Workshop Is For You If:
You're autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD and experiencing POTS, EDS, MCAS, or unexplained physical symptoms that doctors keep dismissing as "just anxiety"
You're managing multiple diagnoses and feeling overwhelmed by trying to coordinate care between specialists who don't talk to each other
You suspect there might be connections between your neurotype and your physical health but don't know where to start exploring
You're exhausted by medical appointments where you leave feeling unheard, invalidated, or like you're "overreacting" to your symptoms
You want practical tools for self-advocacy that go beyond "just be your own advocate" platitudes
