I just had an incredible conversation with Kamilah Jones, a pharmacist turned therapist who lived through serious burnout while transitioning careers. Her story perfectly illustrates something I see constantly in my practice working with chronically ill clients: the people who get better faster aren't necessarily stronger or more motivated - they're the ones with more resources. And resources doesn’t always mean money!
