My expertise comes from:
“My lived experience brought me to my work with medically complex and chronic illness clients. After years of fatigue and frequent illness, I was diagnosed with a rare immune deficiency. Over the subsequent years, I was diagnosed and live with RA, Crohn’s Disease, chronic granuloma disease, and blood disorders requiring multiple treatments monthly. I also fought cancer twice. At 54, I will be completing my doctoral degree in November of 2026, with 25 years of working with women in my own private practice and 20 years in teaching in Higher Education.
My research, faith, attitude, and continuing education in the field has allowed me to go from bedridden with no hope of returning to the work I love, to thriving in a different life I planned for myself, and helping and connecting with women seeking improved quality of life, empowerment in professional, personal and medical lives, learning to be authentic, and how to shape attitudes and beliefs about illness. ”
