I know what it feels like to have symptoms that are difficult to explain, to question your own body, and to wonder whether someone will truly listen and take you seriously.
— Kelsey Burts

About:

Kelsey Burts is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia who primarily works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and chronic pain. She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals as they adjust to new diagnoses, learn to manage chronic health concerns, and process the medical trauma that can sometimes accompany their experiences.

Kelsey has a deep passion for working with individuals who have spent much of their lives in people-pleasing mode and are ready to reconnect with themselves and create a fuller, more authentic life. She is EMDR-trained and continues to expand her clinical skills in trauma-informed care. She believes strongly in the connection between the mind and body and considers both within the therapeutic process.

I specialize in working with these populations:

  • Medical trauma

  • Dysautonomia and POTS

  • Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)

  • Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)

  • Chronic migraines

  • Gastrointestinal concerns

  • Diabetes

  • Chronic pain

My expertise comes from:

“My path to this work is deeply personal. I have spent much of my own life navigating chronic health concerns and, for years, sitting in doctors’ offices searching for answers.

I do this work because I know how isolating it can feel to navigate chronic illness, and I want my clients to know they don't have to do it alone. My own experiences have given me a deep respect for the strength it takes to keep advocating for yourself, keep searching for answers, and learn to build a meaningful life alongside your health challenges.”
