You already have what it takes

If you've found your way here, you're probably already doing meaningful work with clients navigating chronic illness. You understand this intersection from both sides – as a skilled clinician and often through your own lived experience with health challenges.

I've had the privilege of working with therapists like you for the past three years in my monthly clinical and business consultation groups, and what strikes me every time is how deeply personal and meaningful this work is for all of us. Like me, you pour your heart into supporting clients through some of their most vulnerable moments.

But here's what I keep hearing from you:

"I feel like I'm flying by instincts alone."

"I want the educational framework to organize what I'm already doing well."

"There's got to be more structure out there for this specialized work."

You're right. And that's exactly why Victoria Rodriguez and I created this cohort.

The gap we’re filling

Over the past year, both Victoria and I have been getting countless questions about how we developed our expertise in working with complex health issues. While there are smaller programs that touch on specific modalities – CBT for chronic pain, ACT for chronic pain, pain reprocessing therapy – there's a significant gap.

Nothing comprehensive brings together the clinical structure you've been asking for.

You deserve more the confidence you deserve when treating this incredibly important population.

I was fortunate to have my entire master's program grounded in disability justice work. Victoria received mentorship throughout her PhD program focused on disability identity integration and trauma work. We want to share that structured foundation with you.

What you'll leave with (Learning Objectives):

We’ve designed this program to be a combination of education and consultation that will give you the clinical framework to elevate your practice.

Week-by-Week Foundation Building:

  • Assessment & Treatment Planning - Proper evaluation approaches for clients with chronic conditions

  • Medical Trauma & Healthcare cPTSD - Understanding and treating healthcare-related complex trauma

  • Family Systems & Support Networks - Navigating relationships when illness is involved

  • Grief & Identity Reconstruction - Supporting clients through the identity shifts that come with health challenges

  • Neuroplastic Pain Communication - Ethical approaches without falling into cure myths

  • Self-Care & Sustainability - Essential practices to prevent over-identification and burnout

The Consultation Difference:

Each 90-minute session includes dedicated time for you to bring your toughest cases. Get guidance on the clients who keep you up at night, with the support of a community that truly understands this work, both professionally and personally.

This training is for you if:

  • You work with clients who have chronic symptoms, pain, or fatigue — diagnosed or not

  • You've ever felt stuck with a medically complex client and weren't sure why

  • You want to practice trauma-informed care that accounts for medical and systemic trauma, not just interpersonal trauma

You hold a license requiring NBCC or CRCC continuing education credits
